Sofie Geyskens (born May 22, 1975, Diest) is the host of the podcast series Our Designers. Growing up in Tessenderlo, she was fascinated by fashion and shopping from a young age. While other girls played with dolls, Sofie played shop: her whole room was set up like a real store. Her father faithfully participated every evening, playing the satisfied customer. It was the first concrete expression of her fascination with fashion and retail – a passion that would define her career.

Besides this fun, her love for fashion only grew stronger: she filled scrapbooks with clippings from magazines and hung her room full of posters and images from the fashion world.

After her marketing studies, Sofie started her career as a marketing assistant at Kipling, taking her first step into the Belgian retail and fashion world. Her professional path remained colored by fashion and brands: she worked for sports brands, consumer electronics, and international brands and fashion retailers, building broad expertise in various segments of the retail sector.

To this day, she is still active at McarthurGlen as a consultant, but since January 1, 2025, Sofie, together with her best friend Sofie Verreycken, is also the owner of Les Belges, a boutique and webshop that sells Belgian labels and supports Belgian fashion. It is a logical continuation of her passion for Belgian fashion and her expertise in retail.

With that same passion, she started the podcast series Our Designers in 2025, together with Andries De Winter of Spaakgebek. Their creative click quickly led to great achievements, and with this series, Sofie wants to bring Belgian designers and their stories closer to the public – a mission that seamlessly aligns with her lifelong love for fashion and retail.
